Nutrition That Works was founded in 2002 in Raleigh, North Carolina to provide professional nutrition services for health care facilities throughout the eastern United States.
Nutrition That Works specializes in providing highly qualified nutrition professionals to meet facility staffing needs. Professional specialties include: nutrition support, geriatric nutrition, pediatric nutrition, tube feeding calculations, weight management, eating disorders, and more. Our staff is proficient in federal and state guidelines regulating nutritional services.
About the Owner (MS, RD, LDN)
Sarah Carnathan MS, RD, LDN is the owner of Nutrition That Works, LLC and an experienced healthcare professional who is skilled at matching consultants with facilities. Her career experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Patient Services for Duke University Health Care System and as a Clinical Nutrition Manager for Sampson Regional Medical Center. Sarah earned her Master's degree in Nutrition at Marywood University and has enjoyed leadership roles including serving as President of the North Carolina Dietetics Association and President of the Raleigh Dietetics District Association. In 2005, Sarah was recognized as "Young Dietitian of the Year" from the North Carolinas Dietetics Association.

Consultant - Jamie (RD, LDN)
Jamie RD, LDN has clinical expertise in Long Term Care and Hospice facilities. Her past work experience includes serving Spring Moore Retirement Center a a Clinical Manager. Jamie is currently serving as the President of the Raleigh Dietetics Association. She is also pursing her Masters' degree in Nutrition at East Carolina University. Due to her passion for dietetics and contributions to the dietetics association, Jamie is being recognized as "Young Dietitian of the Year" by the North Carolina Dietetics Association.

Lorie Ann RD, LDN has 8 years of clinical nutrition experience. Her specialties includes Nutrition Support as she served on the nutrition support team at Duke University Health Care System for several years. Lorie Ann also has experience in long term care. She is an energetic dietitian and even has her license as a personal trainer.
